Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked Bambino Macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Cook Bambino Macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked Bambino Macaroni with shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheeses evenly coat the macaroni.
- Take a tablespoonful of the cheesy macaroni mixture and roll it into a ball using your hands. Repeat until all the mixture is used, forming bite-sized balls.
- In separate shallow bowls, beat the eggs in one, place flour seasoned with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in another, and breadcrumbs in the third.
- Dip each mac and cheese ball into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, followed by rolling it in breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Repeat this breading process for all the mac and cheese balls.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop a few coated mac and cheese balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Avoid overcrowding the fryer, as it may lower the oil temperature and result in soggy bites.
- Once fried to golden perfection, remove the mac and cheese bites from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve these Fried Mac and Cheese Bites hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as they are. Watch as they disappear within minutes!
