Bambino Balian Rusk Pudding Recipe

Rusk custard pudding is quite similar to double ka meetha, shahi tukda or the traditional bread pudding.
This rusk pudding recipe is a go-to dessert because it is ridiculously simple and amazingly delicious at the same time.This rusk pudding recipe is perfect for those days when you crave something sweet but do not want to order in or spend time making something tedious.


  • 1 Packet of Balian Bambino Milk Rusk or Bambino Balian Elaichi Rusk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Elaichi powder (optional) 
  • Saffron
  • 500ml Milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
  • Method:
  • To a pan add water & sugar then boil until it forms a sugar syrup
  • To one bowl of room temperature milk and some custard powder and bring to a mix
  • In another pan, bring one cup of milk and sugar to a boil and add the custard mixture to the boiling milk
  • Make a thick and creamy custard
  • To the custard add in elachi powder, cashews, almonds, and a pinch saffron. Mix well and leave it to cool down.
  • Take the Bambino Balian rusk and dip it in the sugar syrup.
