Methods

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Balian by Bambino Sooji (Semolina)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped vegetables (optional)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Method:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine Balian by Bambino Sooji, yogurt, water, chopped vegetables (if using), baking powder, and salt. Mix well until you achieve a smooth batter consistency. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the sooji to absorb the liquids
  • While the batter is resting, preheat your waffle maker according to its instructions. Make sure it’s nice and hot before pouring the batter
  • Once the waffle maker is hot, lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the center of the waffle maker and spread it evenly. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy
  • Carefully remove the waffles from the waffle maker and place them on a plate. Serve warm!
