Ingredients:
  • 250g Bambino Penne Pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves to garnish (optional)
Method:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Bambino Penne Pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside
  • For the pink sauce, take a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic  and cook till soft and fragrant. Add in the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, turn the heat to low flame and stir in the heavy cream and cook till the sauce is nice and creamy
  • Season the sauce with salt, pepper, parmesan cheese, oregano and dried basil
  • Cook until the cheese melts into the sauce
  • Add the cooked Bambino Penne Pasta to the pan with the pink sauce. Toss gently
  • Garnish the pino sauce pasta with some fresh basil leaves and parmesan cheese
  • Serve hot
