Ingredients:- 250g Bambino Penne Pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves to garnish (optional)
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Bambino Penne Pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside
- For the pink sauce, take a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and cook till soft and fragrant. Add in the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, turn the heat to low flame and stir in the heavy cream and cook till the sauce is nice and creamy
- Season the sauce with salt, pepper, parmesan cheese, oregano and dried basil
- Cook until the cheese melts into the sauce
- Add the cooked Bambino Penne Pasta to the pan with the pink sauce. Toss gently
- Garnish the pino sauce pasta with some fresh basil leaves and parmesan cheese
- Serve hot
