Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make gulab jamun with sooji instead of khoya?
Yes, This Balian by Bambino Sooji gulab jamun recipe is a quick no-khoya version that uses sooji, milk, and ghee to create soft, spongy jamuns. It is much simpler than the traditional khoya version and easily made at home.
Why do my sooji gulab jamuns crack while frying?
Sooji gulab jamuns crack if the dough is too dry or the oil is too hot. Ensure the dough is soft and smooth, rest it for 10–15 minutes to allow the Bambino Sooji to absorb moisture, and fry on low-medium heat.
How long should I soak sooji gulab jamun in sugar syrup?
Soak the fried Bambino Sooji gulab jamuns in warm sugar syrup for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1–2 hours. This allows them to absorb the syrup fully and become soft, spongy, and flavorful.
