Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Bambino Rava (semolina)
  • ½ cup curd 
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves (chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • Water (as needed)
  • Oil 

Method:

  • In a  bowl, combine Bambino Rava (semolina),  curd, and water to form a thick batter.
  • Let it rest for 10-15 minutes so the semolina absorbs moisture and softens.
  • Add chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  • Just before frying, add baking soda and mix again.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  • Take small portions of the batter and drop them carefully into the hot oil.
  • Fry in batches, turning occasionally until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the Rava Pakora from the oil and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup and a side of garam chai!
